Easy gender neutral term swaps

• Players 

  • ​"Athletes," "team," "players" instead of "guys" or "ladies"

  • "Let's go, team!" instead of "Alright, boys!"

• Spaces 

  • "Restroom," "Change-room," or "Locker room" instead of the "Little girls" or "Little boys" room​

Ask for pronouns upfront

• Ask for and use players' pronouns when meeting

• If unsure, use "they/them" until confirmed

Avoid assumptions

• "Who’s your support system?" instead of "Do your mom and dad come to games?"

• "Do you have a preferred uniform fit?" instead of assuming preferences or sizes ​
